Answer California Answering Service was founded in 1945. We are located in El Cajon, CA about 15 minutes East of beautiful, downtown San Diego. Our current CEO Jim Knapp has been in the Answering Service business for over 20 years. We weren’t always called Answer California, we were known as The Call Center for many years. Our President, Peter Schaumann, took over as President when his father sold the business to Jim Knapp several years ago. Since Jim and Peter have taken over the company they have spent their time assembling the best team possible to service our customer base and grow the company.
A significant factor in the growth of Answer California has been the acquisition of existing answering services. To date, Answer California has had the opportunity to acquire several answering services across California. This has grown the company significantly and has improved the quality and customer service of the answering services we have acquired. In 2006, the decision was made to upgrade our entire hardware and software to meet our customers ever changing needs. This was a major investment in our infastructure and took 18 months to program so that we could move over our existing clients without any down time. In November 2008, Answer California upgraded our voicemail system with many new features.
We pride ourselves in making signing up easy. We have no contracts and no setup fees. We offer our clients a toll-free number to forward their lines to and very competitive rate plans. Answer California can usually setup a new account in 24 hours. We offer bilingual services for Spanish speakers. We record all of our calls. We answer for sole practitioner law firms to Fortune 500 companies.
