Answer California's Management Team


Jim Knapp, CEO: Jim is the founder of Knapp Telecom Group, and owner of Answer California , and has been in the answering service industry since 1986. From the age of 22 when he bought his first business, Jim has owned and operated several customer service centric businesses. Jim is a graduate of Heald Business College , and is a retired NCO in the US Army.

Peter Schaumann, President:
Peter has extensive knowledge of the industry having grown up in a family-owned answering service business. Prior to joining Answer California as CFO, Peter was employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers where as an auditor, Peter provided services to, and conducted auditing work for more than twenty public companies. Peter holds both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University .

Patrick J. Ewalt, Vice President / IT Director:
Patrick began working with Answer California in late 2002 and comes from an extensive 8 Year background in Telecommunications and Data Network Engineering & Architecture. Patrick maintains and manages both Answer California's operational and administrative systems state of the art data and voice networks. Continual development of Answer California 's call system functionality and technologies is also overseen by Patrick. Patrick currently holds dual Comptia® Networking Certifications as well Cisco® and Microsoft® Certifications.

Joseph Murgia, Director of Sales & Marketing: Joseph has worked in a variety of sales organizations within the software industry and advertising. While working in the software industry, Joseph completed millions in sales for corporate ERP software and systems. Joseph has also worked with some of the top law firms in the country to help them develop prosperous marketing strategies. Joseph brings his 15 years of sales and marketing experience to Answer California to help us achieve and surpass our goals.

Jeanne Talbot, Business Development:
Capitalizing upon her MBA degree, Jeanne spent 23 years working with a cross section of small and large companies doing financial & strategic planning and marketing/business development. Her training and experience coupled with her Masters degree in teaching writing enable her to quickly dissect problems and develop effective communication solutions for our current and future clients.

Bryan Ewalt, Systems Programmer: Bryan has worked with Answer California since 2000 and brings a wealth of experience into the administration into the Client Operations department. Bryan sole responsibility is the maintenance and creation of all data within our call control and processing systems. Keeping a close relationship with our clients, Bryan ensures all data within our systems is accurate and current to meet our client’s specifications and needs. Utilizing his earlier experience within the Operations Department of Answer California , Bryan ensures all accounts are programmed to provide the best possible experience to your callers and account administrators.


Carole Livingston, Operations Manager: Carole brings years of experience managing a call center. she spends her time developing schedules and workforce strategies, hiring and training new and existing employees, resolving client and customer issues, maintaining team building exercises, and quality control. Carole monitors and manages our product quality by randomly listening, monitoring and evaluating all inbound and outbound calls.
